Gregory T. Rogers - Founder & President

Greg founded RayLign Advisory LLC in 2004 to provide consultative services to a select number of financially complex families that want to be proactive about “perpetuating well-being through the generations.”  The firm was founded after working within his own family business, a leading investment consulting company, and after roles as a strategic consultant, a publicly-traded asset management executive, and as a family dynamics facilitator.  RayLign emerged out of Greg’s conclusion that very few advisory firms had the comprehensive skill-set to understand the many complexities of family relationships in the context of financial management.  Even fewer had business models that supported the patience, project management capacity, or objectivity required to truly be an agent for the client family.

Greg is also Founder and Managing Partner of Raylor, responsible for day-to-day business management of the organization. Raylor was originally designed to fulfill a personal investment need, basing the firm’s guiding principles upon his extensive experience in money manager due diligence, business consulting, and leadership of a $15Bn publicly-traded investment management firm. Raylor provides disciplined, dynamic and distinctive investment solutions for an emermore complex and volatile global capital marketplace.

Previously, Greg served as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at publicly-traded asset manager John A. Levin & Co., and Managing Director at leading institutional investment consultant, RogersCasey, founded by his father Stephen Rogers. While at RogersCasey, he helped lead the development of the strategic consulting practice that serves global investment managers that included Barclays, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity and Angelo Gordon, supporting projects around the world.

Greg is affiliated with a variety of thought leadership organizations as Chairman of the Board for The Ackerman Institute for the Family, and as member of TIGER21, the Family Firm Institute, Collaboration for Family Flourishing, and The Institute for Private Investors. Greg has taught at the IPI Wharton Private Wealth Program, as well as at the University of Connecticut, regarding the subject of perpetuating well-being for families across generations. He has an MBA from New York University’s Stern School and a BA in Economics and Organizational Behavior from Brown University.
